   About IBS, Hyderabad:

Within a short span of time since it was established in 1995, IBS has grown impressively and achieved widespread recognition from industry, academic circles, and professional bodies. IBS has also been consistently ranked among the top B-Schools in the country, in the annual B-School surveys conducted by independent research agencies.

   About the conference

In the globalized economy, business schools should excel in teaching, learning, research and overall professional development of all the stake holders. To achieve this agenda the business or management schools should create a mini 'Global village' in the class room by attracting qualified and trained faculty members and by also  attracting students from across the globe. The leaders of the business schools play a major role in creating a global or cross cultural atmosphere in business school  especially in a competitive business environment. Faculty members and students in a business school require a challenging forum, world class facilities and an open  learning environment. There is a need for innovating the pedagogy, course curriculum and also the administrative system to keep abreast with the latest developments in  the business world. Hence there is a need for brain storming sessions on the Academic, Faculty, Co-curricular and Institutional Development aspects of the business school. Some of the areas that warrant discussion are:

Aims of the conference

  1. To provide an opportunity to the Business Schools' leaders to meet and involve in high level strategic discussions, to benchmark and to set new standards in the global business and management education field.

  2. To enable the business school leaders to share their experiences and explore new avenues in the areas of modern management education.

  3. To provide a platform for collaborating opportunities and networking.

   Who should attend?
  1. Presidents, Vice Presidents, Chairpersons, Directors, Deans, Associate Deans and other people in administration with decision making capacity in Business Schools who would be expected to present a paper and lead discussions on the issues outlined below.

  2. Universities/Corporate Groups/Individuals who are planning to start management schools.

Papers/Articles are also invited on any other topic that helps in creating a world class business school environment for students and faculty members.

Panel Discussion:

The Conference committee would organize the panel discussion across the critical issues related to management education and try to set the benchmark for creating world class learning environment and practicing environment.

Learning outcomes of the conference:

It is hoped that the presentations followed by panel discussion will

  1. Lead to derive best practices to tackle the issues cited above and the same may be implemented to become a successful business school.

  2. Help to understand the common practices as well differentiated practices of different business school.

  3. Lead to networking and collaborations.

  1. Fee includes accommodation, breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Conference kit, Conference Dinner, Proceedings of the Conference, Transportation from City to Campus.

  2. Participants wishing to stay outside the campus will have to bear the cost by themselves.

   Submission guidelines
  1. The full paper can be uploaded on line in PDF or word document or www.ibshyderabad.org/icsbm mailed to ibs.bschoolleaderscon@gmail.com or venkatas@ibsindia.org

  2. Papers submitted for the conference should be in English, Font type (Times New Roman), Font size 10 and typed in double space only on one side with a wide margin.

  3. With the submission of the paper, the following items should be included in the first page :

  • Cover page-showing title of the manuscript, the author's name, affiliation, and full address with e-mail ID including acknowledgment if any.

  • Information about the author (s) up to 100 words each, including qualifications, written on a separate sheet to appear at manuscript end.

  • Abstract of up to 100 – 150 words.

  • Five or fewer key words.

  • Running heads, if title is of more than 10 words.

  • Acknowledgments if any.
