How can you be sure that you have all the facts to make a good, informed decision about your future career? There are so many things you do not understand - about economics and business, stock markets, balance sheets, the global financial crisis, and so on.
And, to confuse matters further, every single person you talk to has his or her own take on every issue.
So who do you believe? Sometimes, doesn't all this make you wish that there was some way you could ask all the questions you have always wanted to ask, about the economy and business, careers and career opportunities, and personal development?

This is where IBS comes in, with its Program for Young Achievers. The Program brings together bright young students from all over India, for a five day series of seminars, workshops, and group activities, at its lush green campus at Hyderabad.
During the day, you will have workshops and seminars on a wide variety of topics, organized by some of the best faculty in India. Evenings are reserved for cultural programs, fun and games.
You will stay in the campus hostels, and have your meals at the canteen. We will even pay for your travel from your hometown to Hyderabad and back!
And what is more, on the last day of the program, we will arrange a day-long sightseeing trip for you, so that you and your new friends can experience the sights and sounds of Hyderabad, the pearl of the
Deccan!
And, all this is absolutely free.

The Self Development and Career Visioning Program
|
|
The Program is for young students who have the potential to become India's agents of social and economic change in the coming years.
The Program will include workshops/seminars/interactive sessions on:

Introduction to national and international economies, with a special emphasis on the current financial and economic crises facing the world.

Basics of business and finance covering topics such as reading and understanding balance sheets and financial reports, stock market fundamentals, basics of investing, business strategies of Indian and international companies, etc.

Career planning/visioning, which will help the participants to make better informed career choices at this crucial stage in their lives.

Leadership and self development, covering topics such as team management and interpersonal skills, communication and presentation skills, time management, etc.

In addition, evenings will be devoted to cultural programs and group activities, where you will get an opportunity to make friends with participants from all over India. On the fifth day of the program, all the participants will be
taken on a day-long sightseeing tour of Charming Hyderabad and surrounding areas.

70 students were selected out of 2500
students from all over the country for YAP. Professors were very good and have dedicated their time to us for sessions.

Who can apply?
Students from Degree/Engineering colleges all over India, who are in their Pre-final year, are eligible to apply for the Young Achievers Program. Students from the colleges will be selected and the participation will be restricted to a maximum of Five (5) students from each college.
Selection to the
Young Achievers Program
As the number of seats are limited, selection to the Program will be through nomination by the respective college Principals. College may base its nomination on the following criteria such as:
College authorities shall register the students by submitting the duly filled-in Application Form by the student.
The nominated students, from each of the colleges, will be qualified to attend Young Achievers Program.
Registration Fee
The entire program is offered completely free.
IBS will provide free lodging and boarding to all the participants at the IBS Hyderabad campus for the duration of the program, i.e., five days. The workshops and seminars are free. The sightseeing trip is also free.
Selected candidates will also be reimbursed to-and-fro 3rd AC train fare from their hometowns to Hyderabad, when they report for the program.
However, the selected participants will be required to pay a registration fee of Rs.750 as a confirmation to attend the program.
